The best snack to keep your energy stable throughout the day!

by | Blog, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, Recipes

The most important thing for me everyday is to make sure I have great energy. Without that, it’s impossible to have a productive day.

Great energy also means I feel good. I can be present with people. I feel good about how the day went. And that generally leaves me feeling fulfilled.

I have spent countless days in the past struggling with energy, so I protect mine carefully. I know that keeping my blood sugar stable is key and one way to do that is to make sure I have a healthy snack twice a day.

One thing I have recently implemented is some kind of vegetable/green drink 2 x day. Developing rituals around eating healthy is vital to making it easy, removing the willpower. I am not a fan of willpower!

Here is my recipe for today…I just found things that needed to be used up in the fridge.

1.5 Meyer lemons

handful of spinach

leftover celery

2 small avocados

1/8th tsp of Himalayan salt

add water to desired consistency

Pop all of these things in the blender and blend until smooth and drink! So delicious! You can use many other things like cucumber, romaine lettuce, zucchini, chard, ginger. It all works. Just experiment and find things you like!
